How can I scare one of my friends during a ouija board session?

How can I hold a fake ouija board session, and scare the crap out of my friend? We aren't using a real ouija board. I don't want to do anything that will permantly ban spirits though, because we are planning on holding a real session on Sunday. I need to know a few things:

- How can I not accidentally contact spirits?

- What are some good tricks to scare my friend, without him knowing?|||You won't accidentally contact any spirits when you play the ouija board. It is just a game and works through ideomotor movement. No spirits are ever involved, only very active imaginations. And it is not nice to try to scare your friend.|||We ended up scaring him good. We set this old fashioned alarm to go off at a certain time, and timed it so my sister was joking around about the ghost at the same time it went off. We also rigged a bucket on my desk to fall over with a thin piece of string. It was dim so he didn't notice anything :)

|||Well if you really want to scare them without upsetting any spirits, you should light a yellow and purple candle before you try to scare your friend, and while you light them ask the spirits to not be offened, that your just trying to scare your friend..and then while your actually scaring them (your friend), you should have a black candle lit..|||Theres no such thing as a "fake" ouija board. As long as it has the design, and something useable as a planchette, it'll work. Pretty much, if it looks real, it is. Even writing with crayon on a newspaper will work!

Nothing can block spirits ;) that would help so many people if it was possible. lol But there is no way to stop a spirit from coming through, even if your in control of the board. The best way i guess is to not be 'focused' on contacting anything.

As for fooling your friend...

-Depending on the number of people playing is as fast as it goes (so if there is only 2 of you the planchette cant zoom accross the board you know?)

-Ask "You're not moving it right?" to your friend when it 'moves'

-Sometimes boards spell out gibberish, abbreviations, or improper spellings

-You could ask like "Is there anything you would like to tells us?" or something. (Asking too many open questions will make him suspicious tho) but you can make it say something creative xD

-If you ask for its name, i don't suggest this, but you can always say its lucifer or something.

-Just give it an evil outlook, making the planchette move weird or circle something will definately do the job...(Just don't get carried away. Like I said, you really can't block out spirits, and if you get into pentagrams...yeah...id stay away from that xD)
