Since tomorrow is a national holiday, are schools allowed to be in session?

I am unsure if my school is in session or not tomorrow. I go to a public school and we had off Thursday and Friday because of weather which gave me no time to find out. Are schools allowed to be in session on national holidays or not?|||Yes they are allowed to be in session, after all didn't you attend on president's day? This is nothing more than a governmental holiday, not one that you are dismissed from school for.|||Yes. They are allowed to be in session, but it is generally looked down upon, especially since we are recognizing a Civil Rights leader.

Google your school district's website and then look for a calender.|||I would try calling the district office or checking the website. I don't think there is any legislation that would require the district to close on a holiday. School district officials decide on these matters themselves. (i.e. the school board of directors)|||yes, they are allowed to have school.

but if you were supposed to have off before the snow days, then you would have to have off tomorrow, no matter what.|||No because we are celebrating "Martin Luther Kink Jr." Day.And other national holidays well those really depend on your school.|||if your unsure go to your school site or check your school calendar|||yes they are for tomorrow|||nope
