How can I get my name out there as a session drummer?

Hi everyone,


I am in high-school and I want to major in psychology and then become a psychologist. I am also very passionate about music, and I want to keep playing music in my free time (in collage and onward) with bands around where I will be studying and working. Does anyone know how I can get my name out as a session drummer?


I am playing music 99% for the love I have for it, and 1% for a little extra money.|||Post up in the musicians section on craigslist. Say you're a session drummer looking for work and list your styles, influences, availability, etc. When bands are looking for musicians to either join or help out that's one of the first places they check. :)





Also make sure you have a myspace page and put up some samples (if you can). Just film yourself playing, upload it onto youtube, and then embed the videos into your profile.
